I bet you took that picture and had to make a post around it to show it off!  It is gorgeous, but then, so is the area it was taken in.  I was surprised to find how many really well known artists make their home in southern Colorado.  It is cheap to live there, but also beautiful.  Good things for most artists!

Dean, the picture and the story are amazing.  I am SO sorry I haven't seen Colorado yet, it looks absolutely beautiful!  Thank you for the post and information.

Dena, one thing that I have noticed from your Posts is that Colorado has aaaaaaaa Loooooooot of open space.

Joanne, you got me! I usually have my camera with me and the sunset was just to pretty tonight. Also I am the only one writing (blogging) about the area. I'm getting "found" and out of towner's are interested in the area.

Carole, from what little I know about you from your blogs I think you would like Colorado. But then again I think just about everyone likes Colorado. It is the peace and serenity that most enjoy even just for a short time.

George, it amazes me how much open land scares some people, not you. Our ancestors managed just fine and so can we. But what I think scares people is being without others around, a phone signal, TV reception,a convenience store, etc... We probably all know people who are afraid of being alone with their own thoughts. Me, I love it. I grew up in Los Angeles and the thought of being there again scares me. Can you imagine living on 160 acres and so are your neighbors? It's quiet.
