Not long ago I was introduced to Angela Cruz from Isagenix in my Canon City Business Owners meeting. Here is a short interview I did with her.
How long have you lived in the Canon City area? I moved here August 2006
What do you like the best about Fremont County? The sun! Coming from Seattle where you see more rain then sun.
What have your challenges been since moving here? It's much colder here, I live 35 miles from Canon City in the mountains, but the worst is the wind we get in the winter, there fore meeting new people is a challenge.
Tell me a little about your business Isagenixis a 6 year old company that is addressing toxicity, obesity and health. It is a cleanse that rids your body of Chemicals and toxins that accumulate over time and cause the liver and kidneys to become overworked and weak. These toxins are bound in fat tissue-and only specifically blended nutrients can contribute to releasing chemicals from fat. Excess fat will literally melt away at an alarming-yet safe and effective pace with the Isagenix system! IMAGINE LOSING 7 TO 15 POUNDS IN 9 DAYS AND BUILD MUSCLE MASS AT THE SAME TIME!
What are your biggest challenges in your line of work? I am looking for leaders that want to work as hard as I do and can see the vision and are interested in owning their own lives, finding those people are a challenge.

Last month I was invited to the local Toastmasters group in town. A friend of mine was giving her "ice breaker" speech. I wanted to be supportive but unfortunately I had to show up late, very late and missed her presentation. But I arrived just in time to hear her critique, which was all good.
Last night I was invited to attend this months Toastmasters. But once again my job prevented me from attending at all. However, the friend who had invited me filled me in on the fun. My friend was in charge to the table topics. This apparently is where people are given just a few moments to respond to a question or topic. It's all off the cuff but must be presented in a professional manner.
The back story : For a few meetings the official timer with bells and lights has been missing. Apparently this contraption has a light the tells the speaker that he / she has only a minute left in his / her presentation. The timer turned up at this meeting with the explanation that it was found in the group leaders bedroom!
Table Topic: Can you explain how and why a timer could be found in a bedroom? The group leaders face is said to have turned various shades of red.

Real Estate is a competitive occupation, no news there. But I try to set myself apart from my competition by calling my current and potential buyers and sellers at least once a week. Even if I just call to tell them I have nothing to tell them. I'll even e-mail a few and tell them that their listing received no calls this week but had so-many hits on the MLS. To call a buyer or seller just to let them know I'm still thinking about them and I'm still breathing.
I have a seller who went under contract today! In 55 days I got the property under contract. (Average in Pueblo is >180 days) He is so impressed with me. But the truth is it could have taken 255 days to get an offer. The seller had this same property on the market for 2 years with another agent and NEVER heard from that agent. His wife has property in the same area. She NEVER hears from her agent either. I went searching for the wife's property listing and can find NO evidence that it has ever been listed, anywhere, at any time!
Constant communication might drive some people a little nutty. Calling to tell them that you have nothing to tell them could be considered silly. But I'm going to keep it up. I'm going to get the a aforementioned wife's listing!

Like so many other Realtors who blog I've found that blogging has many benefits:
But here is my paradox. Blogging gets me business. So when I'm busy I don't have time to blog. And if I don't blog the phone doesn't ring as much, e-mails don't show up, etc.... It's really a silly circle.
